Emmanuel Ayitey Djaba
Assistant Lecturer

Emmanuel Ayitey Djaba, proud alumni of the Ghana Institute of Management & Public Administration (GIMPA) has been involved in using and teaching about technology since the early days of his undergraduate degree at Ghana Technology University College (GTUC). There he served as a Google student ambassador and held various training sessions on Google products and services. After his first degree, he worked with The Softtribe – a software development company. There, he served as the lead developer of various software applications for clients such as MMC Property Management Ltd and Star Ghana. Subsequently, he proceeded to work in digital marketing at Viva Global where he developed bespoke digital applications to enhance the marketing campaigns of brands like Samsung Ghana.
During his time at Viva Global, he enrolled at the School of Technology (SOT) for an MSc and
(later), an MPhil in I.C.T. If the name sounds familiar, it is probably because you have encountered him working or teaching at the School of Technology (SOT) during his just-ended sponsorship bond.
In his short stay at GIMPA, he has been able to contribute to the Women in I.T & Engineering (WITE) initiative of SOT by fostering a relationship between WITE and other technology advocacy groups such as Women Tech Makers and Facebook Developer Circles. Through these relationships, WITE successfully organized and held the International Women’s Day celebration where various female students in secondary and tertiary educational institutions were mentored by experienced women in technology.
When he is not teaching, engaging in research or performing other duties as assigned to him by the institute, Emmanuel spends his free time taking pictures and writing poetry.    edjaba@gimpa.edu.gh
