The GIMPA Consultancy and Innovation Directorate (GCID) is a Directorate of the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) mandated to undertake advisory services and provide leadership in promoting innovation to help meet the capacity needs of clients in the public and private sectors. The Directorate focuses on projects, innovation and institutional capacity building aimed at equipping clients with practical and implementable solutions. It coordinates the development of new value adding approaches to meeting existing, new or inarticulate needs.
The Directorate accomplishes its mandate through developing and promoting the implementation of results-oriented ideas and policies within the public and private sectors and offers technical and professional advice to other Departments and administrative Units within GIMPA. GCID has a large pool of specialist consultants hands-on at providing objective advice on innovation, strategic planning, organizational development and operational management with the aim of creating value and improving organizational performance. GCID’s services are aimed at immediate returns and long-term success.

The vision of the Directorate is to be the leading provider of quality management consultancy advisory services, and innovation and entrepreneurial hub in Ghana, recognized for its proven ability to deliver excellent services and value-added approaches to meeting existing, new and inarticulate needs.
Mission
With the above vision, GCID sets itself to enhance the problem solving and self-renewal capabilities of both public and private sector organizations through innovation, institutional strengthening, capacity development and applied practitioner’s knowledge in skills development. Its core values are innovation, team work, and knowledge-sharing.
