Prof. Anthony Owusu-Ansah is an associate professor, financial consultant, real estate market analyst and a valuation and estate surveyor with over 10 years of professional experience both in Ghana and abroad. He completed his PhD in Property (Real Estate) Finance and Economics at the University of Aberdeen in the UK. Before his doctorate degree, he graduated from the Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden and the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Ghana with MSc degree in Real Estate Management and BSc. (Hons) Degree (First Class) in Land Economy respectively. He is a professional member of the Ghana Institution of Surveyors and an Associate Fellow of the British Higher Education Academy. He is currently Head of the Accounting and Finance Department at the GIMPA Business School and a coordinator of the MPhil. Development Finance Programme. He is also the Academic Board Representative on the Institute’s Council’s sub-committee on Finance and Development. He is also a member of the Institute’s Graduate School Board. He served as the Coordinator of Graduate Programmes at the GIMPA Business School from September 2016 to August 2019. Prof. Owusu-Ansah has researched extensively into the housing markets in Ghana and has over a dozen of research publications to his credit. He is the author of the book “Construction and Application of Property Price Indices” published by Routledge: London in 2018. He is an external examiner to a number of universities in Ghana and abroad as well as a reviewer to a number of reputable international journals such as the Journal of Property Research. His teaching areas include Managerial Finance, Corporate Finance, Real Estate Finance, Investment Theory and Practice, Financial Management and Real Estate Economics.

Prof. Manu is a Professor at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) where he recently returned to full-time teaching after a decade as an administrator. He was the Rector from August 2012 to August 2016. Prior to that, he served as the founding Dean of the GIMPA Business School. He has also served as a faculty member at Morgan State University and Loyola University, both in Maryland, USA.

He has thirty years experience in consulting, training and education. During this period, he has exhibited extensive capabilities in strategic planning, program design and assessment in higher education. He has been heavily involved in designing and reviewing programs to improve university and corporate education in such institutions as Loyola University in Maryland, Morgan State University, Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), Association of African Business Schools, Global Business School Network and the International Academy of African Business and Development. Currently, Professor Manu serves as an inaugural member of the Association of African Business Schools (AABS) Accreditation Committee.

He has also consulted for a variety of companies in the areas of strategic planning, marketing strategy development and corporate social responsibility. Additionally, he has substantial experience lecturing in strategy, decision-making and leadership for corporate education clients.

Prof. Manu serves on the Boards of Buck Press Ltd., Private Clinics Ghana (Ltd), Media Reach OMD (Ghana). He also chairs the MTN Ghana Foundation and the AngloGold Ashanti School and is Vice-Chairman of Trojan Power.

Prof. Manu earned PhD (Marketing and International Business, 1989) and MBA (Finance and International Business, 1981) degrees from New York University, Graduate School of Business Administration (Stern). His undergraduate education was received at the University of Ghana, School of Administration where he earned a B.Sc. (Administration, 1977) honours degree.

Dr Enoch Sackey is currently a lecturer at the GIMPA Business School. Prior to joining GIMPA, he worked as a Lecturer in the Faculty of Technology, Design and Environment, Oxford Brookes University. During this time, he assumed the role of module leader for Quantity Surveying Practice. He has also worked in the construction and infrastructure sector for a number of years, where he acquired practical experience in quantity surveying, project management, procurement and contract management. He was co-owner and commercial director of ESackey and Associates, a UK-based quantity surveying firm that provided consultancy services on landmark projects for blue chip companies such as Wates, NGBailey, Balfour Beatty, Jackson Rowe and Atkins Global. He is a Chartered Construction Manager (MCIOB) and Project Management Professional (PMP). Dr. Sackey holds a PhD in Construction Project Management from Loughborough University, UK. His PhD research focused on the implementation of Building Information Modelling (BIM) and related technologies in construction organizations from a socio-technical systems perspective. He graduated from Heriot-Watt University in 2008 with an MSc degree in Construction Management (Project Management) and with an honours degree in Building Technology from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in 2003. He has experience in research and teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Dr. Sackey is actively involved in teaching and learning, research and knowledge transfer, as well as leadership and management roles. his current research interests focus on:

He is currently a Senior Lecturer at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration where he teaches mostly graduate-level courses including Strategic Management, Business Environment, and Managing Organisations. His expertise and research interests include but not limited to the practical and context-specific application of strategic management tools, theories and concepts, and strategy as practice in formal and informal contexts. Dr Darbi is an ardent believer in hands-on practical training which he brings to bear on his case-based teaching on the MBA programme. He also authored a case for the 2015 edition of the New Zealand Business Case Competition aimed at bridging the academia-industry gap in tertiary business education in New Zealand. Dr Darbi has attended and presented papers at both academic conferences and practitioner forums in New Zealand, Spain, USA, and Germany.

Dr. Ebenezer Bugri Anarfo is a Lecturer at the GIMPA Business School. Prior to joining GIMPA Business School, he served as a Graduate Teaching and Research Assistant at GIMPA Business School whiles he was a master’s student. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in Economics and Sociology from the University of Ghana in 2006, Master of Science degree in Business Administration (Finance Option) from GIMPA in 2013 and a PhD in Finance degree from the University of Ghana in 2019. His research interests are in the areas of FDI, energy consumption, monetary policy, financial inclusion, financial sector development and regulation, economic growth and development, capital structure, event studies, mergers and acquisition and mental health. His work on capital structure studies has been published in reputable journals. He has also worked at the Socio-economic Department of Crops Research Institute in Kumasi as a research assistant when he was doing his national service and taught at Centre for Business Management and Financial Studies as an Economics tutor. Dr. David Eshun Yawson is a lecturer at the Business School, Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration. He is currently the coordinator of the Practitioners Forum Course for the GIMPA Business School. His key qualifications are in research, agribusiness and marketing management with work experience and interest in research, entrepreneurship, marketing and capacity building. Dr. Yawson holds a PhD in Marketing (University of Kent, UK), MBA in Food and Agribusiness (Royal Agricultural University, Cirencester, U.K. and Van Hall Larenstein, Wageningen University, The Netherlands) and Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (Agricultural Mechanisation) (University of Ghana, Ghana). He also has Postgraduate Certificates in Social Research Methods and Higher Education from the University of Kent, UK.
Dr. Yawson has taught Principles of Marketing, Marketing Strategy, Marketing Research, Customer Service Management, Retail Management and Distribution Management at the undergraduate level in Business School, Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (Accra, Ghana). He has also handled teaching seminars for Strategic Management (Bachelors), Marketing in an International Perspective (MSc) and International Strategic Supply Chain Management (MSc) at the University of Kent, United Kingdom. His research interests have been multi-disciplinary to be important and relevant to industry. His research interests, therefore, span across marketing research, agribusiness and international marketing as evidenced in his PhD thesis work with SMEs in the North West region of the UK. As part of Dr. Yawson’s training and work at the University of Kent he provided marketing and consumer insight through workshops for over 120 business managers and owners of SME’s in the Northwest of England. His research work on the international value chains for the International Institute of Environment and Development / Oxfam /Unilever Project and the Ghanaian Pineapple Supply Chain Agility illustrates the linkages of his scholarship with industry.
Dr. Yawson has published peer-reviewed conference papers, co-authored papers and presentations in international conferences such as Academy of Marketing Conference UK, American Agricultural Economics Association (AAEA) Annual Conference, International Academy of African Business and Development (IAABD) and Annual Forum and Symposium IAMA Conference. Dr. Yawson has also co-authored a book from his MBA research on the Ghanaian Pineapple Supply Chain (Yawson & Aguiar, 2011).
In industry, Dr. Yawson has worked as a business development specialist and a former acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for the Federation of Associations of Ghanaian Exporters where he established and managed projects for international partners in the Ghana agribusiness sector for United States Agency for International Development, (USAID/Ghana); SNVGhana (Netherlands Development Organization); GTZ (German Development Cooperation); ITC and Trade Facilitation Office of Canada.

He has a PhD in Finance from Aston Business School, Aston University, UK, 2011. In his PhD thesis, he examined the Wealth Effects of Mergers and Acquisitions (M&As) in US Firms.

Prior to pursuing his PhD degree, Dr. Kyei-Mensah worked as an Investment Analyst for Trinity Financial Consultancy in the Netherlands. In this position, he has garnered a lot of exposure to the issues the firms were concerned about when engaging in investment decisions. Reflecting on his responsibilities in this post, he was able to appreciate the risk and uncertainty associated with firms that engaged in M&As. Again, after his PhD, Dr. Kyei-Mensah worked as a Finance and Risk Manager for the same company for a few months. He also has several years of industrial experience in accounting.

Jemima Antwiwaa Otto holds a PhD in Construction Management from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology on ‘Improving Public Sector Construction Tendering Processes Using Six Sigma’, Ghana; MSc. in Engineering and Management from Coventry University, UK; a Bachelor of Science Degree in Building Technology from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana and a product of Akosombo International School. Her research interests include Total Quality Management and Procurement in Construction Project Delivery. She is a Member of the Ghana Institution of Surveyors and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Building. She has over 17 years functional experience as a Quantity Surveyor, Procurement Professional and a Contract Administrator. She has performed duties related to Pre-Contract and Post Contract activities for major construction projects in both Building and Civil Engineering Works. She has worked for Contractors and Consultancy Firms in Ghana for both Public and Private Institutions such as the Local Government Service and Sonitra Ghana Limited. She has managed several donor-funded government construction projects. In the past four years she has served as part-time lecturer and acquired experience in teaching and thesis supervision in contract management, procurement, total quality management, and project management at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. She believes that the knowledge she has acquired through practice will enhance her teaching skills in order the prepare students to meet industry needs. She enjoys dancing and has a passion for helping the deprived and vulnerable in communities.

Prof Fanny Adams Quagrainie is a Senior Lecturer in Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management at the Business School of GIMPA. She received her bachelor degree in Economics and Sociology from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi; Master in Business Administration Human Resource Management option from University of Ghana Business School and her PhD was in Development Studies from the Faculty of Legal Studies and Social Science, University of Cape Coast.
Her work life has a mixture of administrative and academic engagements. Dr Quagrainie was an Assistant Secretary at the National Accreditation Board. At GIMPA where she has worked since 2003, she has been both an Assistant and a Senior Registrar engaged in administrative as well as managerial duties in four different Departments – Business School, Centre of IT Professional Development (CITD), GIMPA School of Public Service and Governance and GIMPA Consultancy and Innovation Directorate. Currently, she is the Coordinator for International Programmes and Development Unit at GIMPA.
As an academician at Koforidua Technology University, she was a lecturer in entrepreneurship and management. At GIMPA she delivers lectures in Strategic Management, Management and Organizational Behaviour, Foundation of Entrepreneurship, Small Business Management, Business Policy and Strategy, International Business Management and Business Research Methods at the certificate, undergraduate and postgraduate certificate levels. She also supervises students’ theses at undergraduate, masters and PhD levels. Her research explores the use of mixed-methods approaches and how it affects opinion and attitude in the context of entrepreneurship. She has reviewed papers for journals as ‘Small Business Economics’, Business and Management Research Journal’, ‘International Small Business Journal’, ‘Journal of Small Business Management’, and ‘Journal of African Business’.
Dr Quagrainie has also been engaged in various consultancy assignments for clients such as Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI), USAID, Ministry for Finance, Netherlands Embassy, World Bank, Bank of Ghana, ARB Apex Bank, College of Arts, KNUST, World Vision, Plan Ghana, Institute of Chartered Accounts Ghana, Evangelical Lutheran Schools and UNICEF.

Mr Kwame Twum-Antwi is a lecturer of financial and management accounting at the Business School of the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA). In this role, Mr Twum-Antwi teaches Managerial Accounting and Financial Accounting at both the graduate and the undergraduate levels.
Prior to joining the GIMPA Business School in February 2014, Mr Twum-Antwi served in various management positions within the government of Canada over a fifteen-year period. He held senior-level positions, such as Director of Financial Management and Advisory Services, within the Chief Financial Officer Branch of the Department of Human Resources and Skills Development Canada. Prior to that role, Mr Twum-Antwi served as a Senior Policy Advisor within the Canadian Government Privy Council Office with responsibility for advising the Cabinet Committee for Economic Affairs on key policy and expenditure management issues relating to agriculture, agri-food and food safety.
Mr Twum-Antwi is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) with over fifteen years of professional experience. In addition, he holds Masters Degrees in Economics and Public Administration respectively from Simon Fraser University and the University of Victoria in Canada and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the University of Ghana.
