GIMPA Consultancy and Innovation Directorate (GCITD) is a Directorate of Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) mandated to undertake advisory services and demand-driven capacity building in selected sectors. The new Directorate will focus on projects, innovation and institutional capacity building aimed at providing clients with practical and implementable solutions. It will coordinate the development of new value adding ways to meet existing, new or inarticulate needs. The Directorate will accomplish its mandate through more effective processes, services, technologies, policies or ideas that are available to GIMPA, government, market, and society. Also, the Directorate will offer technical/professional advice to other revenue generation entities of GIMPA as well as administrative and academic support to GIMPA.
GCID will support a pool of specialist consultants who are hands-on at providing objective advice on policy formulation, strategy planning, organizational development, operational and procurement management with the aim of creating value and improving organizational performance. The Directorate consultancy services will be process-oriented and result-based.

The vision of the Directorate is to be the leading provider of quality public management consultancy advisory services in Ghana, recognized for its proven ability to deliver excellent services and value-added ways to meeting existing, new and inarticulate needs.

With the above vision, GCID sets itself to enhance the problem solving and self-renewal capabilities of both Public and Private Sector Organizations through Institutional Strengthening, Capacity Development and Applied Practitioners Knowledge in skills development. Its core values will be Innovation, Teamwork, Knowledge Brokering, and Sharing.
